SUPERFRIENDS

SUPERFRIENDS premiered In 1973, The superfriends save the world and galaxy from evil super villains. They are the regular superheroes with the added Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog. Neither of the three have powers of their own, but they like to help out. Marvin thinks he is something special, but he is just a geek. Wonder Dog is the only one that has anything to offer.. sense of smell.

  38. Invasion Of The Fearians (1978) - DVD
    The Fearians, from Venus, are aided by the Legion of Doom in a plot to change Earth's atmosphere. Captain Cold is defeated by Flash, and Aquaman stops Black Manta, but their actions cause flood and fog to envelop the planet. The Fearians then trap the Superfriends and prepare to invade.

  41. The World's Deadliest Game (1978) - DVD
    Wonder Woman, Hawkman, and Black Vulcan are fooled into believing the Earth has disappeared, and are transported to Toyman's home planet. While they do battle with Toyman's evil giant toys, the Riddler interferes as the other Superfriends search for their missing partners.
  42. The Time Trap (1978) - DVD
    The Legion of Doom decides to rob the Earth of its greatest riches by going back in time before some of them were discovered- trapping several Superfriends in various distant past eras.
  43. Trial Of The Superfriends (1978) - DVD
    The Legion of Doom capture the Super Friends. Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Batman, and robin are stripped of their power ring, magic lasso, and utility belts. They are forced to battle robot copies of themselves who have the weapons they had taken away. They each trick their robot copy and defeat them.

  47. The Monolith Of Evil (1978) - DVD
    The Legion of Doom discover an evil power source at the center of the Earth and set out to find it.
  48. Wanted: The Superfriends (1978)- DVD
    Lex Luthor organizes the Legion of Doom (originally to be called the Legion of Evil) and hatches a complex plot of world domination. He traps the Superfriends in a cell sent hurtling toward the Sun and takes over the Hall of Justice computer. Every citizen of Earth is changed into evil Bizzaro and Cheetah clones, but the Superfriends escape and attempt to reverse the Legion's nefarious plan.
  49. Secret Origins Of The Superfriends (1978) - DVD
    Luthor learns the origins of Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, and the Legion sets out to deprive the Super Friends of their three most powerful members.

    Bizzaro grants the Legion the power to become 100-foot giants.

    Grodd enlists the Legion's help to conquer Gorilla City, the hidden city on Africa from which he came.

  55. Conquerers Of The Future (1978) - DVD
    Frustrated by their inability to conquer present day Earth, the Legion of Doom travel over 2,000 years into the future. The Superfriends who can time travel (Flash, Superman, and Green Lantern) follow them into the future, but go further into the future and read a history book to find out when the Legion will attack. They go back in time to where the Legion is and defeat them.

  57. The Final Challenge (1978) - DVD
    A powerful being spirits away several Super Friends and Legion of Doom members to another planet. He then puts the heroes and villains into one-on-one battles against each other and tells them the side with the most victories wins. The Super Friends are double-crossed and outnumbered, but the other Super Friends arrive and immobilize the Legion using force fields.
  58. Fairy Tales Of Doom (1978) - DVD
    Brainiac devises a way to send the Super Friends into fairy tales, where they will be destroyed. Wonder Woman goes into Alice in Wonderland.
  59. Doomsday (1978) - DVD
    In September 1978, the Super Friends changed concept again becoming Challenge of the Super Friends on ABC. Superman and his 10 Justice League of America colleagues found themselves battling the 13 member Legion of Doom composed of DC Comics super villains like Superman foes Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Toyman, and Bizzaro, and Batman foes like the Riddler and Scarecrow. This series did not have the Wonder Twins. The episodes are one half-hour long, although the series was so successful that it became a 90 minute show. This show used the Justice League and genuine super villains more than the previous Super Friends cartoons and real locales helping keep the show alive.

    Using the noxium crystal, which is capable of destroying all of the Super Friends, the Legion wipes them out one by one. The Cheetah kills Wonder Woman when she tries to stop them from destroying Paradise Island.

    The Legion makes a pact with Satan to gain evil powers in exchange for luring the Superfriends to him. But when the Legion gets greedy and tries to take all of the Devil's power by imprisoning him, Satan escape and double-crosses the Legion by unleashing his evil powers on them.
